What to Expect
Should I eat before my flight?
We recommend that you are reasonably hydrated and to eat a small meal or snack no less than 1 hour before your flight. If you are planing to dine at the airfield's restaurant Wings and Fins, we suggest you take this into consideration.
Excessive alcohol prior to flight is definitely a bad idea as we are unable to take passengers under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
The aircraft is fully enclosed, with a clear canopy. So for winter flights, just dress as you would otherwise for conditions on the day, and in summer ensure you are lightly dressed - don't forget a cap if you wish, even sunscreen too.
As loose items can be a safety risk in the cockpit, we request that you empty your pockets prior to flight, or ensure that you are wearing a jacket with zippered pockets.
Sunglasses or spectacles can be worn with the headset.
Footwear should be soft, flat-soled and secure (not likely to come off). Heels are definitely not suitable.
Cameras can be taken, although they must be secured with a wrist strap during aerobatics. Loose objects in the cockpit are a serious safety risk and are in breach of regulations for aerobatic flights.
We also have an on-board HD video system to recored your flight, if you wish.
We encourage your friends and family who want to come along with you to take pictures of you in the aircraft. You will normally board very close to a fence-line from where they can easily get some great shots, as well as perform aerobatics overhead (when able) for those with a suitable camera wanting some action shots.
